Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the CVICU team on nights, with a 36-hour work week and self-scheduling for 50% of holidays. The unit cares for post-op cardiac patients in a high-acuity ICU, offering growth and educational opportunities within a renowned health system.

Eligibility includes completion of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• 1+ yr experience in acute care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision making while communicating effectively to promote a safe patient environment.
