Job summary

HCA Florida Aventura Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for the CVICU on day shifts. You will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and the care team, using established nursing models to ensure outstanding outcomes and patient experience.

The role emphasizes teaching patients and families, adherence to ACLS/BLS, and participation in quality improvement to elevate clinical standards within a Level II Trauma Center environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license to practice in Florida.
• 1 year RN hospital experience, mainly ICU.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures and monitoring as ordered by medical providers; documents care in the patient record.
• Teaches patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Translates medical terminology for patient understanding.
• Supports evidence-based practices and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
• Coordinates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care and optimize recovery.
