Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to provide patient-centered care across the hospital stay, from admission to discharge, in line with our ethics and compliance standards. The role involves accurate assessment, planning, and delivery of evidence-based nursing care, collaboration with the health care team, and ongoing education for patients and families.

Requires IL RN license, BSN, and BLS; ACLS/PALS/TNCC ER experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN and current IL RN license required or ADN with commitment to BSN within 3 years.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/TNCC/ENPC as applicable by ER or unit.
• Strong analytic abilities and ability to collaborate with health care teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess and record patient status and care needs at admission and care points.
• Organize health data for accurate plan of care.
• Develop and implement plan of care with patient/family.
• Provide individualized education and discharge planning.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and participate in conferences.
