Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking registered nurses to provide high-quality patient care in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams. The role applies the nursing process, conducts assessments, assists with exams and treatments, and maintains medical records while supporting a range of experience levels (RN I–RN IV).

Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree from an accredited program, Texas licensure or compact license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice nursing; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience/Knowledge/Skills: RN levels by years of experience (I–IV).

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients per nursing skills inventory and patient age/needs.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes based on data and standards.
• Coordinates treatment plans; develops discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation, process improvement, and patient-centered outcomes.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.
• Promotes professional growth and acts as preceptor/mentor.
• Models Memorial Hermann service standards by delivering safe, caring and efficient experiences.
