Job summary

St. Francis–Emory Healthcare in Columbus, GA is seeking an RN Coordinator/Specialist for the ICU to coordinate patient care delivery and support clinical and operational functions in a high-acuity unit.

You will mentor ICU staff, ensure regulatory compliance and evidence-based practice, collaborate with providers, and optimize resource use while maintaining a culture of clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• ADN required with a BSN or MSN preferred for advancement.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing in ICU.
• Experience in care coordination or nursing leadership is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily ICU operations including patient care planning and rounding.
• Serve as a clinical resource on ICU protocols and complex conditions.
• Develop and refine individualized care plans with providers and teams.
• Monitor quality of care, patient safety, and documentation.
• Facilitate communication between ICU staff, patients, and families.
• Support onboarding and ongoing education for ICU staff.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and evidence-based practice.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, CMS) and policy adherence.
• Oversee equipment use and maintain supplies for unit readiness.
• Document nursing and coordination activities in the EMR.
