Job summary

St. Francis–Emory Healthcare in Columbus, GA, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ICU.

The RN will provide direct and indirect care to critically ill patients, monitor hemodynamics, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to drive optimal outcomes. Requirements include ADN with BSN preferred, an active RN license, BLS and ACLS certification (PALS preferred), and de-escalation training.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred.
• De-escalation training required.
• Minimum six months of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care in ICU with hemodynamic monitoring.
• Administers medications, monitors for side effects, and responds to adverse events.
• Performs head-to-toe and pain assessments and updates care plans.
• Collaborates with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other providers.
• Educates patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Participates in emergency response (code blue/rapid response).
• Assists in invasive procedures (central/arterial lines) as needed.
• Maintains infection control practices and a safe environment.
• Documents care activities accurately in the EMR.
