Job summary

Glenwood Regional Medical Center in Louisiana is seeking a Cardiovascular ICU RN to direct and coordinate nursing care on the CVICU for each shift, focusing on patient, physician, and staff needs. You will deliver skilled nursing care via the nursing process and advocate for patients, families, and the care team.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and an active Louisiana nursing license in good standing, with BLS within 30 days and ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Louisiana nursing license in good standing.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire date.
• ACLS within the first 90 days of employment.
• Previous clinical nursing experience in CV-ICU desired.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan and organize nursing activities on the CVICU unit for assigned shift.
• Deliver skilled patient care through the nursing process per policies and procedures.
• Coordinate patient care among patient/family, medicine, nursing and ancillary teams.
• Act as patient advocate and maintain current knowledge of professional nursing practice.
