Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Day shift in the CVICU. The RN will provide patient-centered care to high-acuity cardiac and vascular patients, participate in complex therapies and post-surgical care.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or current student rotations in acute care.
• RN license in good standing and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced CVICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in the CVICU with high-acuity cardiac and vascular patients.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects per orders.
• Operate and monitor ICU equipment and assist during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to develop care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
