Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the 15-bed CVICU at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ provides patient‑centered care using the nursing process and collaborates with physicians and nurses to ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medications, supporting complex cardiothoracic procedures, and operating life-support devices. New grads are encouraged to apply to the New Grad Program.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing processes.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings; reports changes to care team.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team to implement and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to emergencies; participates in CPR and code team activities.
