Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and the care team.

The RN will use established nursing models to advocate for patients and families, document care thoroughly, and teach patients about conditions, treatments and self-management. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice and teamwork to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN qualification: Registered Nurse (RN).
• Registered Nurse Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about the medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Teaches about non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement to meet quality measures.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan.
