Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center in Florida is seeking an APRN with cardiovascular critical-care expertise to help develop and lead the Open-Heart Surgical program. You will provide inpatient CVICU care, collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, and implement evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, leading multidisciplinary rounds, ensuring post-operative care quality, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Holds a current ARNP license in Florida.
• Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular critical-care hospital experience.
• Clinical expert in cardiovascular nursing practice and delivery of evidence-based interventions.
• Ability to mentor and implement system improvements to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of Open-Heart Surgical program with CVICU team.
• Deliver comprehensive, evidenced-based nursing care across inpatient CVICU/postoperative periods.
• Evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice per STS guidelines.
• Provide consultation to nursing and healthcare teams; educate patients and families.
• Lead teaching strategies for CVICU/PCU staff; collaborate with Cardiothoracic Surgeons.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds; ensure coordinated, efficient care; reconcile discharge medications.

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Graduate of an accredited Advanced Practice nursing program (ARNP or CNS)
