Job summary

Children's of Alabama in Birmingham is seeking a part-time patient care assistant for the Critical Care CVICU on Main Campus Quarterback Tower. You will support RNs and LPNs, provide essential assistive care, and help communicate with patients, families, and staff during 7a-7p rotating shifts.

The role emphasizes bedside care, safety, and teamwork in a 20-bed CVICU with ECMO capabilities; prior patient care experience or active clinical training is preferred, and BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Six months of patient care experience within the last two years.
• Enrolled in a medical related college program and in clinical rotation.
• CNA, CMA, PCT or EMT certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistive care and communication for patients, families, and staff.
• Work under supervision of RNs and LPNs to support patient care.
