Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd Floyd County's Cardiovascular ICU seeks a Charge Nurse for part-time, night shift. The role leads staff, coordinates care, and ensures smooth patient flow while still performing direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license is required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 10 weeks of hire.
• One year of nursing experience is required; one year in the specialty preferred.
• Professional/Specialty certification as per unit standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as resource nurse and coordinate care on designated shifts.
• Provide leadership to unit staff during patient care.
• Direct patient care while coordinating staffing fluctuations and patient flow.
• Address immediate staff issues and respond to departmental concerns during shifts.
