Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking an ICU nurse for Open Heart Recovery/CVICU on the 2nd floor. This part-time role covers 24 weekly hours, night shift 7 PM–7 AM, with every third weekend. The CVR unit has seven beds and CVICU offers telemetry and critical care to postoperative cardiac patients.

Active Kentucky RN license required; BCLS within 90 days and ACLS within six months for experienced staff or one year for new grads. Strong critical thinking and family/patient support are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky License.
• BCLS required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS required within six months for experienced staff and within one year for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• The ICU nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions.
• Maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care and ensures interventions address patient problems.
• Provides guidance to patients and families through the critical care journey.
