Mercyhealth is seeking an IR Lab Technologist to support the Interventional Radiology Lab at the Rockford campus. The role prepares equipment, maintains sterile fields, assists physicians, and monitors patients in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities include verifying patient consent and allergies, preparing sterile supplies, scrubbing into procedures, monitoring fluoroscopy time and radiation doses, and providing post-procedural care.
This position will support Interventional Radiology (IR / CVI) at the Javon Bea Hospital campus. The IR Lab Technologist will support minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. They will be skilled in preparing equipment, maintaining a sterile field, assisting physicians, and monitoring patients and will work efficiently in fast-paced environments with a strong focus on safety and quality care. Schedule: As needed per department guidelines; 1 weeknight or weekend call shift in 6 week schedule period Shift: Variable Day Shift Hours Location: Javon Bea Hospital - Rockford, IL
Graduate of an accredited radiography program OR equivalent training/education program for required certification/licensure.
Board certified ARRT OR eligible to take boards (must be board certified within six (6) months of hire) OR Graduate of a Cardiac Intervention Program AND registered or registry eligible (must be registered within six (6) months of hire) AND ACLS required within six (6) months of hire (Rockford Only) AND PALS required within one (1) year of hire (Rockford Only)
Passing the Driver’s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring). Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check. Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
Must be able to participate in holiday and on‑call rotations.
