Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a CVD Parts Conductor to manage budget, track spares and repairs, and work with Finance and Engineering to secure funding for the department. You will analyze spending trends and present cost reports to leadership to ensure KPIs are met.

You will forecast CVD materials with Equipment Engineering, manage inventory to prevent expirations, and own Samsung’s ordering system for the department. A strong cost-analysis background is essential.

Qualifications

• Has substantial understanding on the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks
• Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations
• Normally receives little instruction on everyday work and general instructions on newly introduced assignments
• Typically requires a minimum 3 years of related experience since TB1

Responsibilities

• Track spending for each work team in the spares, repair, and consumables categories.
• Works with engineering teams to determine project cost projection.
• Audit all purchase requests to ensure we aren't overstocking or understocking.
• Manage and create cost-saving projects to reduce departmental spend.
• Setup and audit repair loops; find new ways to repair parts or find alternative sources for OEM parts.
• Gather data on expenses and high-dollar parts for the monthly budget proposal.
• Manage parts related items in engineering test plans.
• Assists with vendor selection when purchasing items from them.
• Manage in-fab storage and consumables inventory.
• Build better systems to streamline cost tracking and material flow.
