Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Equipment Technician to maintain CVD tools, perform PMs, and monitor equipment trends. You will interact with the Process team to ensure proper disposition of interruptions and support tool recovery timelines with the Shift Supervisor.

The role emphasizes high energy, quality focus, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines in a full-time, on-site environment in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• 2+ years prior work experience in a technical role.
• Two year technical degree or equivalent military experience (or 2–5 years direct experience).
• Experience in Semiconductor/High Volume Manufacturing Facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance following detailed SOP.
• Troubleshooting equipment failures.
• Monitoring and responding to abnormal equipment signals.
• Collaborating with senior personnel and engineers for troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance.
• Update or generate SOPs when required.

Position Summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is looking for an Equipment Technician who will be responsible for performing activities involved with the recovery of CVD tools from PM including qualifications. In this role you will perform preventative maintenance on CVD equipment and recovery equipment faults. Daily equipment process and equipment trend monitoring will be required, as is responding to interlocks in a timely manner. Documenting / communicating material from tool interruptions to Process team to ensure the material is measured and dispositioned correctly is also important. You will interact with Shift Supervisor in scheduling PMs, delivering ETAs for tool recovery, Documenting/following standard operating procedures during PM execution is required. High energy with a focus on Quality and detail is important. As a SAS Technician you will participate in site compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

Role and Responsibilities

• Correcting and generate SOPs when required.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2+ years prior work experience
• Two year technical degree, equivalent military experience (or if not available, 2-5 years direct experience).
• Experience working in Semiconductor/High Volume Manufacturing Facilities.
• 300mm Endura Producer and/or AMAT experience is strongly preferred
• Prior experience working in high volume fabrication AMAT Robot experience is also a strong plus along with LFM set-up

The current base salary range for this role is between $20.50/hour - $33.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.

Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

Days Shifts Include:

• A Shift - Sunday through Wednesday (7am - 7 pm) with alternating Wednesdays
• C Shift - Thursday through Saturday (7am - 7pm with alternating Wednesdays)
