Skyline-Display in Eagan, MN is seeking a fabric cutting operator to handle non-standard or custom cutting jobs within established guidelines. You will cut fabrics using large-format cutting machines to specified measurements and use calculators or patterns to determine cut sizes.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $22.00 Hourly

Summary

Primarily responsible for completing non-standard or custom cutting jobs within established guidelines

Cut fabrics using various large format cutting machines to measurements

Responsible for using provided calculators or patterns to create a cut size

Responsible for minor regular maintenance of the machines

Have a good working knowledge of the different types of fabric used in production, make sure that the correct calculator is used for each type

Troubleshoot issues and/or job questions as necessary and elevate to more experienced printer , Group Lead or S upervisor if appropriate .

Use a provided schedule to ensure items are cut in a timely manner , prioritize items that are shipping first

Understand the different finished products being created and report any errors in fabric type or quantity

Understand the different types of common issues with fabric: slubs , waves, waking, banding, slow fire, etc. Report these errors to a supervisor or lead.

May be asked to assist in other areas as required by the business.
