MasterBrand Cabinets LLC in Minnesota is seeking a Team Lead - Cutting to guide daily cutting department operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement. You will lead a working team, coordinate workflow, monitor performance, and partner with supervisors to drive continuous improvement while upholding company policies and Lean practices.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, manufacturing experience, leadership skills, and comfort with Microsoft Office;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of quality and safety practices.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Preferred: Previous team lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: Experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or cutting operations.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support team members in daily production activities.
• Promote a safe, positive, and respectful work environment.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new employees.
• Provide performance feedback and communicate production expectations.
• Monitor attendance, work habits, and adherence to company policies.
• Coordinate daily work assignments and manpower to meet production schedules.
• Monitor workflow to ensure material is processed efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and departmental goals are achieved.
• Identify production delays and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production and departmental records.
• Communicate shift updates, priorities, and issues to supervisors and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and work instructions.
• Verify materials and finished components meet specifications.
• Address quality concerns promptly and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine safety observations and address unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Ensure team members wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report workplace injuries, incidents, and near misses promptly.
• Participate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Support implementation of new procedures, equipment, and best practices.
