Job summary

UCS INC in Lincolnton, NC is seeking a Cutting Saw Operator to safely operate cutting saw equipment, cut raw materials to specified dimensions, and uphold production quality and safety standards in our manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints and job tickets, set up and calibrate equipment, inspect finished parts, and work with the team to maintain efficiency, inventory accuracy, and a clean, compliant workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating cutting saws or similar machinery.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate cutting saws (e.g., band saws) to cut materials according to work orders and specifications
• Measure and mark materials to ensure precise cuts
• Read and interpret blueprints, cut lists, and job tickets
• Set up, adjust, and calibrate saw equipment for different materials and cut requirements
• Inspect finished pieces for accuracy, quality, and defects
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production needs and issues

Job Summary
