Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Die Cutter operator to join our manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment. You will run die-cutting jobs, adjust settings, monitor quality, and record production metrics through SAP. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork.

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read technical instructions are essential. Prior folding carton experience is a plus. We offer competitive pay, 401(k) with match, health benefits, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read and follow technical instructions.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision and interpret instructions.
• Proficient computer and math skills; accurate data entry in SAP.
• Ability to distinguish color variation for quality checks.
• Willingness to work other shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and follow policies.
• Make-ready, adjust, and run jobs efficiently while meeting Safety/Prod requirements.
• Review job orders for quantities, stock specs, and die-cutting instructions.
• Inspect dies for defects and apply corrective actions.
• Adjust processes to ensure quality and communicate across shifts.
• Maintain and clean Die Cutter equipment.
• Record production metrics in SAP accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with our policies and procedures
• Make-ready, adjust, and run jobs as efficiently as possible to meet safety and producivity standards
• Examine job order to determine quantity to be cut, stock specifications, and special die cutting instructions
• Examine cutting dies for visual defects and apply correcting solution to repair minor defects
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality
• Ensure information is communicated between shifts
• Perform proper and required maintenance as well as cleaning of Die Cutter
• Maintenance duties include stooping under machinery, entering confined spaces and climbing ladders
• Accurately record production metrics through SAP
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Required Skills

Required Experience

• Prior folding carton experience preferred

Physical Demands

• Occasional bending, reaching, twisting and stooping
• Ability to read computer screens and other electronic devices
• Occasional squatting and kneeling for cleaning and clearing jams
• Pushing/pulling/lifting to 50 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish color

PAY RANGE: $25.61 - $37.96

Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs)/Sanitation policies and procedures. Employees must continually work to promote orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of SQF/5S and other company standards.
