Job summary

Digital Room LLC is hiring a Cutter Operator for the Van Nuys plant in California. The role requires operating a high-volume cutter on the 3rd shift (9:30 PM–6:00 AM) and ensuring products meet exact specifications. Expect to work full-time with strict safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience operating continuous and pile fed machines or packing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with the Press Operator and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Access IMS to determine daily workload.
• Place and align printed jobs for proper cutting.
• Select cutting programs and follow them from largest to smallest dimension.
• Monitor cutting operations and adjust to maintain specifications and speed.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and notify supervisor as needed.
• Replace worn blades with hand tools when required.
• Record production data and materials processed.

Cutter Operator

Salary Range: $19.00 To $21.00 Hourly

We are actively hiring for the positions of Cutter Operator for our plant in Van Nuys, CA.

Shifts

3rd shift 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM Sunday to Thursday

Duties & Responsibilities

• Access IMS program to determine priority jobs and set workload for the day.
• Place printed jobs on jogger to align and weigh according to job specifications.
• Align prepared batch inside cutter to select cutting program to follow.
• Follow cutting program cutting from biggest measurement to smallest measurement.
• Monitor assigned machine during each cut to ensure adherence to specifications and make adjustments as needed to maintain specifications and operating speed.
• Troubleshoot machine problems, resolve if possible, notifying Bindery Supervisor/Plant Management.
• Replace worn cutting blades with hand tools when required.
• Record production and operational data, such as amount of materials processed.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and work station are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience using continuous and pile fed machines and packing exp.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Press Operator.
• Ability to multitask with changing priorities.
• Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50lbs (50% of time)
• Able to stand for 8 hours
• Walking and moving around work-area (50% of time)
