Responsibilities

• Meet production requirements for re-sharpen cutters.
• Work with Production and Engineering on manufacturing custom cutters.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and print requirements.
• Sharpen or modify tools, milling cutters, drills, reamers, form tools, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery as required.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

Walter Cutter Grinder Operator

(Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing)

Program, Setup, and operate precision grinding equipment to manufacture and sharpen carbide and HSS cutting tools using CNC & Manual cutter grinders.

Cutter Grinder Responsibilities:

• Meet production requirements for re-sharpen cutters
• Work with Production and Engineering on manufacturing custom cutters
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and print requirements
• Sharpen or modify tools, milling cutters, drills, reamers, form tools, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery as required
• Maintain a clean work environment

Cutter Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to use precision measuring tools
• Use practical skills and knowledge as a Cutter Grinder to manufacture and sharpen high precision cutting tools

• Work well in a team environment

GrinderPreferred Skills:

• Experience with Walters grinders
• Experience sharpening carbide and HSS cutters

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 25 pounds
