Overview

The cutter apprentice will shadow the cutter operator with Make Readies throughout the shift and will help troubleshoot during runs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for completing jobs with 100% accurate quantities when packing and sending jobs from the Cutter.
• Ability to thoroughly read and understand job tickets to avoid any errors and proceed with the job once making sure that everything is ready to begin.
• Consistently communicate with team members (helpers) about the job details to ensure that the job is being done correctly.
• Must present any questions/concerns that arise prior to the job starting to the Operator, Manager, or Supervisor on duty.
• Accurately tag every skid, lot, or jobs so they can be sent to the correct destination.
• Capture all costs associated with a job utilizing data collection system.
• Keep an organized work area while working and clean work area prior leaving at the end of the shift.
• May be assigned additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent is preferred.
• 1-3 months of experience working in the Bindery Department as a General Helper or in an equivalent position required.
• Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish or English.
• Good attention to detail.
