Job summary

Quest Events is seeking a skilled Cutter to join our fabrication team. You will measure, mark, and cut fabrics for custom, large-scale drapery and fabrication projects with a focus on precision craftsmanship in a fast-paced production environment.

You will collaborate with the production team to ensure quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery, reading work orders and technical drawings to create and modify patterns for accurate production.

Qualifications

• Previous professional sewing or fabric cutting experience required.
• Experience with large-scale drapery, theatrical drapery, upholstery, or custom fabrication preferred.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform precise measurements.
• Experience reading and interpreting floor plans, sketches, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mark, and cut fabrics and other materials according to project specifications.
• Execute complex cutting for custom, large-scale drapery and fabrication projects.
• Read and interpret work orders, floor plans, sketches, and technical drawings.
• Create, modify, and utilize patterns to ensure accurate production.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaborate with sewing and production teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Inspect materials and finished cuts for accuracy and quality before production.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
