Job summary

Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC) is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the Cut Floor on the 1st shift in Delphi, Indiana. This role reports to the Production Superintendent and is onsite, with a focus on meeting safety, quality, and production goals.

The supervisor will mentor staff, delegate workloads, and maintain a strong floor presence to ensure quick, well-informed decisions that drive operational success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year leadership experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Knowledge of USDA and HACCP procedures a plus.
• OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, wet, humid, and odorous environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of the team members in production of quality products in accordance with established and accepted company criteria.
• Implement and maintain safety standards throughout area of responsibility as required by law and company policy.
• Direct and implement job related training for all team members in his/her department while ensuring rotation minimums are met.
• Coach and guide team members to resolve employee issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Create and foster a high morale workplace with the highest ethical standards by treating all team members with dignity and respect.
• Manage the completion of production schedules as determined by the superintendent.
• Ensure all proper processing procedures (quality, safety, etc...) are adhered to and not compromised.
• Discipline and accountability for team members while pursuing goals.
• Monitor and improve production quality and quantity as needed.
• Utilize problem solving and process control tools to meet or exceed production schedules.
• Facilitate workflow management, scheduling, and placement to meet goals.
