Job summary

Indiana Packers Corporation in Delphi, Indiana is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Cut Floor on the 2nd shift to lead teams, ensure safety, quality and productivity, and mentor staff.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 1+ years of leadership in manufacturing, knowledge of USDA/HACCP, strong communication, and willingness to work overtime and weekends; the successful candidate will drive continuous improvement on the floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• 1+ years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of USDA and HACCP procedures a plus.
• OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, wet, humid environments and overtime.
• Good computer literacy and ability to write clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead team activities in production of quality products per company criteria.
• Implement and maintain safety standards as required by law and policy.
• Direct and train team members; ensure job rotation minimums are met.
• Coach team members to resolve issues and ensure corrective actions.
• Create a high morale workplace with ethical standards.
• Manage completion of production schedules as directed.
• Ensure proper processing procedures and quality standards are followed.
• Apply discipline and accountability to meet goals.
• Monitor quality and quantity goals and take timely improvements.
• Utilize problem solving and process control tools to meet schedules.
• Facilitate workflow management, scheduling, and staffing to meet goals.
• Conduct process audits and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain compliance with policies, safety standards and PPE usage.
• Collaborate daily with other supervision to maximize efficiency.
• Assist with pre-operation activities and other duties as needed.
