Job summary

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts Sacramento campus is seeking a Cardiac Sonography (Ultrasound) Instructor who is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and a team player. The role requires ARDMS/RDCS licensure and 3–5 years of staff sonographer experience, with 1–3 years teaching experience preferred.

The position is based at our Sacramento, CA campus and offers a comprehensive benefits package. This full-time role involves teaching classes, following the approved syllabus and lesson plans, and monitoring

Qualifications

• Requires ARDMS and RDCS licensure in good standing.
• Minimum 3–5 years of staff sonographer experience in an imaging facility, hospital, or clinic.
• 1–3 years of instructional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes according to the assigned schedule.
• Follow the syllabus and daily lesson plans.
• Teach scanning techniques and approaches.
• Monitor student scanning progress.
• Evaluate student progress and support student growth in scanning.
• Maintain CME requirements per ARDMS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach classes according to the assigned schedule
• Follow the Syllabus and Daily Lesson Plans
• Teach students scanning techniques and approaches
• Monitor students scanning progress
• Evaluate student progress and assist with student growth and success with scanning
• Maintain current Continuing Medical Education (CME) according to the ARDMS requirements

Qualifications

• AS Degree, BS Degree preferred
• ARDMS, RDCS, Current licensure in good standing within their discipline
• Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as a staff sonographer at an imaging facility/hospital/clinic
• 1-3 Years Experience as an instructor preferred
