MOHR Talent in Pomona, CA is seeking a Customs Entry Specialist to join its growing international logistics team. This role focuses on import operations, customs brokerage, and coordinating shipments from arrival through final delivery.

You will prepare entries, ensure compliance with U.S. regulations, classify goods, and work with brokers, forwarders, carriers, and customers to deliver timely service. The position offers full-time on-site employment with comprehensive benefits.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in customs brokerage, import operations, freight forwarding or international logistics

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customs entries and import documentation for ocean and air shipments
• Ensure shipments comply with U.S. Customs regulations and government agency requirements
• Classify imported goods using the HTS and assist with duty calculations
• Coordinate with brokers, forwarders, carriers, truckers, warehouses, and customers to facilitate timely deliveries
• Track shipments and provide proactive status updates
• Verify customs clearance and freight release before final delivery
• Resolve shipment discrepancies and documentation issues quickly and accurately
• Maintain relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with all import/export documentation and company procedures
• Deliver outstanding customer service while managing multiple shipments and deadlines

What You'll Do

As a Customs Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring imported goods move efficiently through U.S. Customs while coordinating shipments from arrival through final delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customs entries and import documentation for ocean and air freight shipments.
• Ensure shipments comply with U.S. Customs regulations and government agency requirements.
• Classify imported goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and assist with duty calculations.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, truckers, CFS warehouses, and customers to facilitate timely deliveries.
• Track and monitor shipments, providing proactive updates on shipment status and delivery timelines.
• Verify customs clearance and freight release before scheduling final delivery.
• Resolve shipment discrepancies and documentation issues quickly and accurately.
• Maintain strong working relationships with customers, carriers, and internal departments.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with all import/export documentation and company procedures.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while managing multiple shipments and deadlines.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in one or more of the following:

• Experience preparing customs entries or import documentation preferred.
• Strong understanding of import processes and customs regulations.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer-based logistics systems.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
