Thomas Freight, a well-established logistics and customs brokerage, seeks an experienced Customs Entry Clerk to join its New York/New Jersey team. The role focuses on preparing and submitting entries, ensuring CBP compliance, and coordinating with customers and agencies.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years handling Air or Ocean entries, works well in a fast-paced setting, and is proficient with CargoWise. Hybrid work arrangement offers three days remote and two days in the office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience processing Air or Ocean Customs Entries.
• Experience handling entries involving FDA and CPSC (OGA's).
• Strong understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and import procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience using CargoWise is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs entries accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with CBP and partner government agency requirements.
• Review import documentation and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams.
• Monitor shipments and ensure timely clearance of cargo.
