Cavalier Logistics is seeking a full-time Customs Entry Writer to join our import team in California. The role handles paperwork required by US Customs for entry of goods and requires industry experience; compensation depends on experience.

Responsibilities include processing documents in the ABI system, coordinating delivery and invoicing, and maintaining all compliance records. A strong team player with attention to detail is essential; background check is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in customs entry or related field.
• High school diploma or GED required; strong organizational skills essential.
• Ability to pass a background check and work with sensitive documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide impeccable customer service to import clients.
• Perform audit review on brokerage files and payments to customs.
• Maintain current customs compliance documentation.
• Process documents through the ABI system and arrange delivery and invoicing.
• Review customs rejections and information requests from clients and agencies.
• Daily correspondence with overseas and domestic agents, airlines, and co-loaders.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure high service levels.
