Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in the United States is seeking a Consulting Solutions Manager to drive growth in the expanding Trade Consulting business. You will build and nurture client relationships, identify opportunities, and position Kuehne+Nagel as a trusted advisor in customs and trade compliance.

You will collaborate with sales, consulting leaders, and operations to expand services and deliver value, while leading discussions on compliance strategy and revenue generation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Customs Brokerage, Trade Compliance, or related field.
  • Business development, account management, or consultative sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and import/export processes.
  • Identify customer pain points and develop practical, commercially viable solutions.
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) designation preferred.
  • Experience with Drawback or trade compliance consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Grow Kuehne+Nagel's Trade Consulting business across the United States.
  • Develop and execute strategies to win new consulting opportunities.
  • Expand services within existing customs and logistics customers.

Are you a customs and trade compliance professional with a passion for business development, customer engagement, and solution selling? Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Consulting Solutions Manager to help drive the growth of our expanding Trade Consulting business across the United States. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing areas within Kuehne+Nagel's Customs organization. Leveraging our expanded consulting capabilities and strong market demand for trade compliance solutions, you will play a key role in helping customers navigate complex customs challenges while driving profitable growth for the organization. Working closely with consulting leaders, sales teams, and key customer stakeholders, you will be responsible for expanding existing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and positioning Kuehne+Nagel as a trusted advisor in customs and trade compliance.

How you create impact
  • Drive the growth of Kuehne+Nagel's Trade Consulting business across the United States.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to acquire new consulting opportunities.
  • Expand consulting services within Kuehne+Nagel's existing customs and logistics customer portfolio.
  • Identify customer challenges and develop value-added customs and trade compliance solutions.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of consulting opportunities within the CRM platform.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Key Account Management, and operational teams to uncover new revenue opportunities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for customs consulting services, supporting commercial teams and customer engagements.
  • Lead customer discussions focused on trade compliance, customs strategy, duty optimization, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and RFP evaluation activities.
  • Strengthen client relationships through proactive account planning, business reviews, and strategic engagement.
  • Partner with consulting leadership and service delivery teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Increase share of wallet within existing customer accounts while contributing to overall market growth.
  • Maintain market awareness of customs regulations, trade compliance trends, and competitive developments.
  • Participate in customer meetings, industry events, and business development activities throughout North America.
  • Meet and exceed established revenue and gross profit growth targets.
What we would like you to bring
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience within Customs Brokerage, Trade Compliance, Customs Consulting, or a related customs-focused environment.
  • Proven business development, account management, or consultative sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, trade compliance programs, and import/export processes.
  • Ability to identify customer pain points and develop practical, commercially viable solutions.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines, opportunities, and CRM activity.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) designation preferred.
  • Experience with Drawback, Trade Compliance Consulting, or customs optimization programs is highly preferred.

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data.
