Job summary

AFC International seeks a Customs Consulting & Compliance Specialist to promote consulting services and engage potential clients in the U.S. market. You will schedule appointments with the Customs Consulting & Compliance Manager and work with executives and operations staff to drive solutions.

Ideal candidates bring CCS or broker license eligibility, 2+ years in customs or trade compliance, and strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to build trusted client relationships.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor degree preferred.
• CCS certification or US Customs Broker license or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• 2+ years in customs consultancy, import/export operations or related field.

Responsibilities

• Promote AFC International customs and trade consulting services.
• Identify and reach out to potential clients via calls, emails, and social media.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients; understand needs to provide tailored solutions.
• Explain benefits of customs brokerage services to potential clients.
• Consult with new importers on U.S. Customs and PGA regulations.
• Provide U.S. Customs Clearance guidance to customers.
