The position of Customs Compliance Specialist serves as an integral member of the Customs Compliance Department, where a high volume of customs clearances will be processed in a timely manner.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review onboarding documents for accuracy and communicate with clients regarding discrepancies and approvals/rejections.
• Respond to customer/vendor inquiries about customs clearance and follow up to resolve issues.
• Maintain communication with customers, carriers, and vendors.
• Collaborate with customs brokers and internal stakeholders on customs-related processes.
• Handle accounting processes accurately and generate proper billing.
• Serve as the customer service liaison between the company and customers.
• Keep customer profiles, reports, shipping documentation, and databases up to date and accurate.
• Assist in investigating billing disputes and collaborate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Perform clerical tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
• Over 5 years of experience in customs brokerage.
• Proficient in computer skills (Excel, PDFs, Google Sheets, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Accurate and efficient typing with a professional vocabulary.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective interpersonal relationship skills.
• Working knowledge of company operations and procedures.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to work independently on assignments.
