Job summary

DHL is seeking a Customs Clearance Process Improvement & Automation Analyst to drive digitalization and efficiency in the U.S. Customs clearance operations.

You will partner with Operations, IT, and Global teams to identify opportunities, define requirements, and implement solutions that improve throughput and compliance. The role focuses on analytics, automation, and process optimization, leveraging dashboards and data insights to reduce delays, scale operations, and strengthen governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, data analytics, finance, CS or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in business analysis, data-driven strategy, or operations.
• Understanding of customs clearance processes.
• Proficiency with databases and data modeling (Python, SQL).
• Strong data visualization skills (Power BI).
• Ability to analyze data and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Strong root-cause analysis to design solutions.
• Interest in learning customs, trade, and logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Resolve trade application, system, and process issues to minimize shipment delays.
• Develop interim solutions and document requirements for system improvements.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
• Leverage data to identify trends, measure performance, and drive improvements.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor impact and performance.
• Identify and lead automation opportunities to reduce manual effort.
• Partner with IT and Digital teams to define requirements and support integrations.
• Evaluate technology capabilities and recommend improvements for scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align on process priorities.
• Lead change management, training, and user adoption to ensure success.
