Expeditors in the United States is seeking a Customs Brokerage professional to oversee timely and accurate shipment processing, data entry, and billing while aligning with customer SOPs and KPI standards.

You will prepare customs entries, monitor clearance, and ensure compliance with OPS and regulations, collaborating with team leads to deliver reliable service across Expeditors' network.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
2 years customs brokerage/compliance experience preferred.
Typing speed of 45 wpm.
Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Process shipments timely and accurately.
Enter data into operating systems accurately.
Bill customers timely and accurately.
Prepare customs entries in Exp.o Customs.

Ensure timely customs clearance and communicate with customers.
Meet KPI standards and departmental goals.

Job Description

Major Duty and Responsibilities

Timely and Accurate Shipment Processing

Ensures smooth and timely freight process flow according to Expeditors' operational procedures. Follows customer's standard operating procedures and proactively notifies customers of any issues. Consistently meets KPI standards, as per company's procedures.

Timely and Accurate Data Entry

Ensures accurate and timely data entry into our operational systems according to Expeditors' operational procedures and customer requirements. Monitors exception reports for quick data integrity resolution.

Timely and Accurate Billing and Accounting

Invoices customers the expected charges timely and accurately and according to Expeditors and customer requirements. Properly provisions service provider charges to avoid reserves. Follows proper credit approval processes in order to minimize risk and protect the company.

Operations:

Prepare customs entries in Exp.o Customs.

Understand the elements of the Import & export customs SOP.

Ensure accurate and timely data entry into operating systems from LOG to DLV.

Ensure timely customs clearance of shipments.

Monitor customs clearances and communicate with Customers.

Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer policies / requirements.
Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.
Meet and maintain KPI standards, as per department goals and metrics.
