Job summary

BMW Manufacturing Company offers a hands-on internship experience where students collect and report data, enhancing KPI dashboards and learning practical analytics in a manufacturing environment on-site.

The intern/Co-op will review data sources, streamline formats into a unified dashboard, improve dashboards, update work instructions, and present processes to the department during the January 11 - May 14, 2027 work term.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience with PowerBI or Tableau.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• GPA 3.0+ required.
• US enrolled student status at a 4-year college.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze data sources within the department.
• Consolidate sources into a dashboard for easier viewing and analysis.
• Enhance and/or improve dashboards for department.
• Update work instructions describing how to use dashboards.
• Present processes to the department.
• Advance digitalization of reporting within the department.
• Update KPI work instructions to reflect new processes.

Description:

• Team member responsible for collecting and reporting data in a more uniform and usable format. Enhance and improve reporting dashboard for the department to use to easily obtain key KPI data.

The qualified intern/Co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

• Review and analyze different sources of data received by the department.
• Review and analyze format used to consolidate different sources into one dashboard for easier viewing and analyzing of data.
• Enhance and/or improve dashboard or dashboards for department to view data.
• Update work instruction describing how to use dashboard as needed.
• Present process to department.
• Enhance process for more digitalized reporting within the department.
• Update relevant KPI work instructions to incorporate new process.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities.
• Experience with high level reporting/database software - PowerBI, Tableau.
• Detail oriented.
• Organized.
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
• Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
• Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
• Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
