Job description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Encourage team members to deliver excellent customer service. Must be able to oversee the total store operations in absence of Store Manager and Store Managers in Training. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Responsibilities

1. Work in all areas of our stores including cashiering, stocking, general maintenance, and cleaning.
2. Assist store management and team members in the achievement of a favorable customer shopping experience.
3. Assist in leading teams in the planning, implementation and execution of merchandising and operating initiatives.
4. Work with team members to identify opportunities in the store, develop timely solutions and create action plans to ensure implementation of plans.
5. Drive sales working with store management team to maximize sales and profits while managing shrink.
6. Assist the store management team in reducing turnover, increasing retention and maintaining consistent store operations.
7. Assist with the management of labor and supply costs to meet customer service and financial targets.
8. Ensure customer returns and exchanges are handled to satisfy customers while in compliance with company policies and procedures.
9. Maintain an awareness of inventory and stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity.
10. Display positive attitude.
11. Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
12. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
13. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
14. Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
15. Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
16. Oversee the total store operations in absence of store management.
17. Maintain flexibility to work any shift, ability to open or close store.
18. Promote trust and respect among team members.
19. Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold throughout the store.
20. Achieve a satisfactory level of technical and professional skills or knowledge in position and related areas.
21. Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold; respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
22. Physical demands include, but are not limited to, standing and walking 100% of the time, lifting an average of 50 lbs., pushing, pulling, bending, twisting/turning, manual dexterity, and repetitive motion of hands/wrists.
23. Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Any previous supervisory/leadership experience.
