Job summary

Spotfire, a business unit of Cloud Software Group, seeks a Customer Success Lead Data Scientist with Energy Industry expertise to drive long-term customer value in the NAM region, preferably in Houston, TX or Colorado. You will lead analytics-driven engagements, develop deliverables using ML/AI, and act as the primary liaison between customers and Spotfire teams.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of data science experience using software environments and programming languages (Spotfire, Tableau, Qlikview, SPSS, KNIME, Dataiku, Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake)
• Experience with data preparation and integration; knowledge of SQL and programming languages such as .Net, Java, IronPython, Javascript, C++ is a plus
• Energy sector analytics experience and ability to translate business problems into mathematical approaches
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for interacting with customers and partners

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy using Spotfire and data science to translate business objectives into success plans
• Act as trusted advisor by building consultative relationships and driving customer advocacy
• Lead innovation in ML/AI topics; build prototypes and models for industry use cases
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, support, product, and engineering to align on strategy and roadmaps
• Educate and engage customers in Spotfire community; represent the team at industry events
