Role Overview

The Technical Design Manager plays a crucial role in delivering BT Solutions to a diverse range of customers, from Small Medium Enterprises to Global organizations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic global team at the forefront of technology, dedicated to achieving customer outcomes for BT. The role involves leading a team of technology professionals in crafting end-to-end technical solutions that align with business requirements and meet customer needs.

Reporting directly to a Senior Manager within Customer Solutions & Design for a Technology or Regional Practice, the Technical Design Manager collaborates closely with their leadership team. The role includes leading, motivating, and providing direction to a team of Technical Designers, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and oversee complex transitions, transformations, and changes within network infrastructure, including WNB, C2M integration, and other initiatives across Edge Technologies such as Cisco/Meraki/HPE LAN/WLAN/SDLAN/DC/ACI.
• Manage a high number of emergent products with complex solutions and customers.
• Ensure end-to-end technical solution delivery, meeting time, cost, and quality standards.
• Maintain adherence to CS&D gold standards and governance in design processes.
• Manage team responsibilities, including risk mitigation, career development, performance management, knowledge sharing, and training.
