About the Role

The UX design manager will lead the India-based UX design team. We seek a senior leader who can inspire, mentor, hire, and grow the team to meet expanding business needs. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders to deliver best-practice design solutions across platforms (desktop, mobile, app) and our diverse family of brands. Experience designing for platforms that pay contractors (not direct hires) to assist customers (Lyft, Uber, Airbnb, LegalZoom, etc.) is a plus.

What You’ll Do

The designer’s daily responsibilities will comprise 75% design work and 25% design strategy. They will be an integral part of the UX Design Leadership Team. Responsibilities include building, managing, and leading product design and all India-based UX designers, as well as collaborating with other design and content managers at JA to deliver impactful design solutions.

What We’re Looking for

• An excellent portfolio
• 10+ years of experience in UX/product design
• Familiarity with creating frictionless product designs across desktop, mobile, and app
• Smart, fun, and proactive attitude
• 3-5 years of design management experience
• Experience working on platforms connecting external contractors with customers is a plus
• Experience working on retail or tech products
• Proficiency with Figma, Miro, Microsoft Office
• Availability for early meetings (7am PST)
• Experience working with dispersed/global teams
