Customer Services Professional (Open)
Location: Texarkana, TX; Mt. Pleasant, TX; Retail shop. Potentially Longview.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Managers to provide seamless service to our professional community.
- Ensure alignment on customer account needs by resolving inquiries promptly and thoughtfully.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain excellent records and account health.
- Provide meaningful assistance to ensure clients feel supported and heard.
- Advance internal processes to improve the overall customer journey.
- Foster a sense of partnership across departments to resolve complex inquiries efficiently.
- Maintain a collaborative and team-oriented approach to daily office operations.
- Some travel required within the region.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in customer service, preferably in industrial gases and welding supplies or similar industrial products.
- Must be able to work overtime and occasional weekends to meet operational deadlines.
- An "Owner" mindset: highly autonomous professional who takes full accountability for the customer journey and thrives in an independent environment.
- Cross-Functional Catalyst: a collaborative leader adept at aligning internal stakeholders from outside sales to VPs to streamline operations and deliver high-impact client solutions.

- Root-Cause Problem Solver: an exceptional communicator who dives deep into complex technical, billing, and compliance issues to fix the source, not just the symptoms.
- Digital Change Agent: experienced in leading customer onboarding and guiding high-value clients through their digital transformation on Airgas.com.
Travel Requirements
Moderate business travel required. Must have reliable transportation.
Computer Skills
- Possess proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, database programs).
- 2-3 years current hands‑on experience with SAP (or similar ERP) strongly desired.
- Ability to enter and extract data into and out of a computer.
