Position Overview

Counter Sales Representative – Dallas, TX (Airgas, an Air Liquide company).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and proper use of PPE.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external partners.
• Ensure accurate completion of required paperwork, coding, costing, and pricing.
• Partner with customers to identify the best tools and procedures for their projects and demonstrate equipment use.
• Manage order entry and process transactions; assist with deposit reconciliation.
• Coordinate communication via phone, e‑mail, and in person to provide information on costs and delivery.
• Contribute to the outgoing call strategy to support branch growth.
• Coordinate transfer of merchandise between locations to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating supportively with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
• Stock shelves and maintain showroom displays to ensure an excellent customer experience.
• Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (or an equivalent combination of education and life experience).
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
• Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
• Attention to detail in handling transactions.
• Availability for occasional overtime when needed by the team.
• Must be able to work in a drug‑free workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in gas, welding, or safety supplies.
• Familiarity with SAP, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Office applications.
• Detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities.
• Clear, warm communication skills with a diverse range of customers.
