Job description

About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Joint Base Charleston Wrenwoods Golf Course, SC. The position may occasionally work at the Redbank Golf Course located on the Naval Weapons Station, with the schedule determined by the needs of the facility.

Duties
  1. Serves as a pro-shop clerk/cashier-checker, selling merchandise such as clothing, footwear, golf clubs, accessories, sporting goods, and other items.
  2. Operates cash register, handles transactions including cash, credit cards, and charges to member accounts.
  3. Processes green fees, rental services, storage fees, and special orders.
  4. Validates green fee cards and explains product and service usage to patrons.
  5. Assists with fitting apparel, logs tee times, and answers phone inquiries.
  6. Displays merchandise, maintains the pro-shop's cleanliness and organization, and assists with pricing and inventory.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements

Experience can include paid, unpaid, or volunteer work through programs like Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, or other organizations. The resume must clearly describe relevant experience. Education qualifications require transcripts if applicable.

Qualifying Experience:
  • Responsible clerical, office cash handling, or retail sales experience demonstrating the ability to perform satisfactorily.
  • Knowledge of proper cash handling procedures and arithmetic used in transactions.
  • Ability to operate a cash register.
  • Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English.
  • Skill in dealing with the public.
  • Satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
