About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Joint Base Charleston, Naval Weapons Station, Redbank Golf Course, with possible work at the Joint Base Charleston, Air Force Base, Wrenwoods Golf Course, depending on facility needs.

The work schedule will be determined by the needs of the facility.

Duties

1. Serves as a pro-shop sales clerk/cashier-checker. Sells merchandise such as clothing, footwear, golf clubs, accessories, sporting goods, and other items.
2. Operates cash register, rings up sales, handles cash and credit card transactions, and processes charges to members' accounts.
3. Processes green fees, rental services, storage fees, and special orders. Validates green fee cards.
4. Explains product and service use, assists patrons with apparel fitting, logs tee times, and answers telephone inquiries.
5. Displays merchandise, maintains the pro-shop's cleanliness and organization, assists in pricing, and may assist with inventory.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned. This position is a position of trust.

Qualifying Experience:

Responsible clerical, office cash handling, or retail sales experience demonstrating the ability to perform satisfactorily at this grade level. Must demonstrate knowledge of cash handling procedures, arithmetic skills, and ability to operate a cash register. Must be able to read, speak, and write English and possess good public dealing skills.
