Job summary

Ewing Outdoor Supply, a fourth generation family-owned wholesale landscape and outdoor supply company in Phoenix, seeks dependable team members for operations, including customer service, warehouse, and local deliveries. Training provided; no prior industry experience required.

Must be comfortable operating a daily delivery route in a commercial vehicle, with a valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs; bilingual skills are a plus. Competitive benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer calls, field questions, and build customer relationships.
• Support customers in selecting landscape materials, outdoor supplies, and irrigation product recommendations.
• Pull, stage, and load customer orders including stone, soil, mulch, and hardscape materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and yard, following safety standards.
• Receive and stock deliveries and transfers; assist with inventory checks.
• Load/unload materials with delivery vehicles; provide world-class service on site.

This role provides a variety of activities- including customer service, warehouse operations, inventory support, local deliveries, and sales assistance -making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working both indoors and outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Though preferred, this hands-on, foundational role doesn't require prior industry experience; we provide world-class training to set you up for success from day one!

Responsibilities

This role supports the day-to-day operations in a fast-paced wholesale environment serving contractors and industry professionals. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers, answer calls, field questions, and build customer relationships.
• Support customers in selecting landscape materials, outdoor supplies, and irrigation product recommendations.

Warehouse & Yard Operations

• Pull, stage, and load customer orders, including stone, soil, mulch, and hardscape materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and welcoming warehouse and yard, while following all equipment and material-handling safety standards.

Inventory Management

• Receive and stock deliveries and transfers.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.

Delivery and Transportation

• Load and unload materials using company delivery vehicles while following all safety protocols.
• Safely deliver customer materials in company delivery vehicles to local job sites, while providing world-class customer service upon arrival.

Requirements

What we are looking for…

• Must be comfortable operating and making deliveries on a daily route in an Isuzu NRR 650 or similar commercial vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Basic math and communication skills
• An eagerness to work as a team
• and deliver world-class customer service

Preferred, but not required…

• Warehouse associate experience
• Delivery driver experience
• Forklift certification
• Knowledge of irrigation, plumbing, or landscape materials (remember, our training rocks)
• Spanish Bi-Lingual is always a plus

Bonus Points for the Following*

• Bilingual (Spanish & English)
• Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions (willing to train the right candidate)
• Proven work experience as a Customer Service Associate, Sales Associate, or similar role.
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
