STEP, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Specialist for the Utilities Assistance Program in Williamsport, PA.

You will assist households in accessing utility assistance programs, gather and verify information, and guide clients to community resources with a focus on confidentiality and accuracy. The role requires strong communication, data entry and organizational skills, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment where every interaction matters.

• At least one year of office or administrative experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with data entry, databases, spreadsheets, and general computer applications.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks.

In this important role, you'll assist individuals and families in accessing utility assistance programs, community resources, and support services that help improve their quality of life.

What You'll Do

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will:

• Welcome customers and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and connect individuals with appropriate resources.

• Gather, verify, and accurately enter customer information into agency databases.

Pay Rate: $18.09

Schedule: 20 hours per week - flexible (5 days x 4 hours or 4 days x 5 hours); start time also flexible within regular office hours
