Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation in Jefferson, GA seeks a Customer Service Specialist to support Ace retailers, handle orders and inquiries, and coordinate with shipping and credit teams. The role emphasizes strong phone communication, problem solving, and proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent phone skills including professional phone presence.
• Strong problem solving skills with ability to resolve issues quickly.
• Excellent computer skills; familiarity with SAP, AS400, Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive retailer relationships and provide exemplary customer service.
• Receive phone inquiries/requests from Ace retailers regarding orders, adjustments, will calls, stock on hand, etc.
• Work closely with shipping and traffic departments regarding scheduled shipments.
• Work with credit department concerning credit status when rush orders are received.
• Ensure accuracy of various documents, including but not limited to, purchase orders, invoices, return goods authorization for credits/debits, etc.
• Maintain excellent company image and superior safety practices.
• Sort, file and maintain accurate and organized files.
• Generate and interpret various reports.
• Build and maintain relationships with external as well as internal customers.
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks daily.
• Able to work independently, with minimal direction.
• Have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
• Perform other duties as assigned.
