Range Bank in Michigan's Copper Country region seeks a Customer Service Representative to handle daily banking transactions while maintaining policy knowledge and delivering friendly, professional service.

New or experienced applicants receive comprehensive training to succeed and advance, with a clear promotion path across Range Bank's nine locations in the UP and Wisconsin. Work hours typically 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Mon-Fri with Saturday rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least one year of customer service or cash-handling experience.
• Proficient computer skills and basic banking software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
• Greets customers, accepts deposits, disburses funds, and processes transactions accurately.
• Ensures all transactions comply with regulatory and bank policies and security procedures.
• Performs account maintenance and opens new accounts upon customer request.
• Maintains knowledge of products to cross-sell services and informs customers of promotions.
• Participates in projects and initiatives to improve overall bank performance.

Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) are responsible for handling customer financial transactions and must maintain a thorough knowledge of the bank’s policies, and deposit products and procedures. They are the frontline of the bank and play a fundamental role in achieving customer satisfaction.

Whether you are new or experienced in the banking industry, we provide all the training needed for the position! We have a well-built training path to help you succeed in your role and reach the next promotion level.

Will require working at other offices in the Copper Country region. Schedule to include hours between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and Saturdays on a rotation basis.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner
• Performs routine office and customer service duties; greets customers, accepts deposits, disburses funds, and other transactions as requested. Ensures all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, managing risk in every transaction.
• Performs all transactions in compliance with regulatory and bank policies and procedures and adheres to bank security policies and confidentiality of bank records and customer information.
• Performs account maintenance on existing deposit accounts, as well as opening new accounts upon customer request
• Maintains product knowledge in order to cross-sell bank products by answering inquiries, informing customers of new services and product promotions, determining customer needs, and referring customers to other departments as necessary
• Perform other projects and initiatives, as required, contributing to the continued improvement of overall company performance
• Has the authority and discretion to resolve complex customer issues
• Adheres to Range Bank policies and procedures
• Upholds the highest level of confidentiality and cyber security awareness

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma
• One year customer service or cash-handling experience
