Job description

If you want to make a difference, help people, possess excellent communication skills, and can problem-solve calmly, eviCore Healthcare, a subsidiary of The Cigna Group, invites you to join our team. By joining our non-clinical team, you will assist in managing the benefit needs of inbound callers from start to finish, delivering excellent patient-provider care.

Responsibilities
  1. Handle an average of 80-100 inbound calls daily from health plan clients and providers seeking pre-authorization.
  2. Handle and verify patient records in compliance with HIPAA and PHI, maintaining confidentiality.
  3. Manage multiple calls using various applications across multiple screens, accurately entering all patient, provider, and imaging center data.
  4. Follow the formal script pathway with each caller, escalating unresolved issues to appropriate personnel or departments.
  5. Maintain a client-focused approach, resolving customer inquiries and complaints efficiently with one-call resolution.
  6. Attend 100% of the 8-week training, including live-call participation.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior customer service experience preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook; strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer focus, with the ability to diffuse difficult callers constructively.
  • Accountability and ownership in problem-solving.
  • Positive, coachable attitude and a role model for peers.
  • Team player who shares knowledge and supports colleagues.
  • Flexible, open-minded, and adaptable to business needs.
  • Self-confident with good judgment to do what is right and keep commitments.

Work Environment and Compensation

We are currently training in a remote environment. You will need reliable wired internet with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds, possibly requiring an Ethernet cord. The hourly rate is anticipated to be $17.75 - $19, depending on experience and location, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus plan.
